How to remove your website from the Google Blacklist

A blacklist removal tool is essential for every website owner. Google blacklists over 10,000 sites every day, 90% of which have been hacked.

Blacklisting can cause serious damage to your website. Google users won’t have access to your website, and search engine rankings will drop. Google could also discontinue your AdWords subscription, and your hosting provider may suspend your website. These effects can impact your revenue collection.

What is the Google Blacklist?

Many service providers use the Google Transparency Report (or Google’s Blacklist) to assess a website’s safety. This service is also used by popular browsers to ensure Firefox user’s safety.

Other service providers might flag your website if it is on the blacklist. To recover brand-value, and your user-base, you should immediately adopt a blacklist-removal service. To check if your website is blacklisted, you can use the website scanner.

Blacklisting Websites: Why?

If authorities like Google detect suspicious behavior, such as malicious software, they may blacklist your website. There are many types of malware: phishing schemes and Trojan horses. Information scraping, email hacking, and pharma hacks are all examples.

Website owners may not be aware that they are being attacked. Based on the reason for blacklisting, there are many categories. Some websites might be blacklisted because they have spam or phishing links.

How to Remove a Blacklist

Before you can remove your name from the blacklist, you must first establish why. You should get professional help if your website is infected with malware. Continue reading to learn more about the blacklist method.

Register for a Google Search Console account

You must inform Google that the infection has been removed to be able to remove the warning from the blacklist. This process will require a Google Search Console.

Verify your website ownership in Google Search Console

  • Google Webmaster Central Launch
  • To sign in with your Google account, click Search Console
  • Click on Add a Website
  • Click Continue to enter the URL of your website.
  • Use the Recommended or Alternate methods option to verify your website
  • Click Add a Website and then click Verify
  • To analyze warnings, please refer to the Security Actions and Manual sections

Alternative Website Blacklists

Google Safebrowsing is not the only website blacklist authority that uses Google’s API to blacklist harmful websites. Search engines and antivirus programs want to warn users about potentially dangerous websites. Each authority has its own review process and console. You must inform these authorities that your website is not infected with malware to be removed from their blacklists.

Request a Security Review

Google will ask for a review to let them know you’ve cleaned the site and they can rescan it. Google limits blacklisting culprits to one review per 30 days. Avoid tricking Google to get a website reviewed. Before you proceed, ensure that the website has not been infected with malware.

Requesting a Security Review from Google

  • From the Search Console, access the Security Issues tab
  • Analyze all issues to make sure they are removed.
  • Click on the box “I have solved these problems”
  • Click “Request a Review”.
  • Please include details about what you have cleaned.

Ask Google for a Spam Review

  • Search Console: Access the Search Traffic tab
  • Click on the Manual Actions Section
  • To ensure that they are resolved, you should evaluate the issues.
  • Click on Request a Review
  • Please include details about what was cleared

Wait

The review and reindexing process take a few days after you submit your blacklist removal request. It is possible that your search results may not be clear if your website’s title and description were infected by spam. You can ask Google to refresh pages and links from the Search Console. Google can be pushed to crawl your website using:

  • To search for your URL, use the Inspect any URL search field. It can be found on the top-right side of the Search Console.
  • Click the Request Indexing button to the right.

This will allow Google to view your site and approve it before it is submitted for reindexing. You will need to correct any errors and make sure that the Google bot can access your site.

If the process succeeds, you’ll receive the message “URL was added as a priority crawler queue.” Multiple submissions of a page will not affect its priority or queue position. Google will crawl your homepage and any links.

You should take steps to secure your website and prevent future blacklisting after you have saved it.
